A couple friends of mine were flying the helicopter thats in the water when it had an engine failure. They performed an autorotation and set it in the water. They could have probably made it to the beach but they felt that a power-off landing in the sand was too risky since the sandbar wasn't very wide and sloped fairly steeply, so they sacrificed the helicopter. This is footage of it being pulled out of the water by a Bell 407.
